I am a U.S. Navy junior; son of a career Navy officer and his Australian war-bride. Traveled quite a bit as a child and graduated from Taipei American School in Taipei, Taiwan (Formosa). Attended Memphis State University in Tennessee, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
Joined the Navy right out of college and spent the next 30 years flying off of aircraft carriers on most of the earth’s oceans and seas. Did a couple shore tours as a flight instructor and a couple as a Naval Attaché to Thailand and Burma (Myanmar). I was fortunate enough to command both a squadron and a wing before retiring in 1998.
I spent the next 8-9 years working in the scuba diving and water sports industry, mostly right here in Sancti Petri for a company called Novojet. During the first couple years with Novojet I had time to return to school and completed a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of West Florida. I left Novojet in 2007 and became an agent for Andaluz Solar S.L., a business that sells, installs, and maintains alternative power systems; mostly solar.
I live in Chiclana with my wife Anne, daughter Sarah, grandson Aaron, and little dog Lady. Most of my time these days is spent taking care of family, house, and garden, etc., but I also serve as Vice President and Membership Secretary for the Chiclana Foreign Residents Association (ChiFRA) and as a committee member for my local neighborhood association.
During the trial period for Radio Baywatch I presented mostly Country and Western music programs, although I did do a couple of mixed music shows of music that I personally like. I have been asked to present one pre-recorded Top 20 (or so) Country Music show per week and one live show of the mixed variety, which will include local, national, and world news items of interest to us citizens of the world, but especially for those of us living on the Costa de la Luz.
